ECHOPAROLE collects different types of personal data in connection with the use of its platform:

  • Identification data: surname, first name, email address, phone number
  • Professional data: qualifications, certifications, experience, languages mastered
  • Geolocation data: address, service area for interpreters
  • Payment data: banking information necessary for transactions
  • Navigation data: cookies, connection logs, platform usage

This data is collected directly from the user during registration and use of services, or automatically during navigation on the platform.

2. Data use

The personal data collected is used to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Facilitate connections between clients and interpreters
  • Process bookings and payments
  • Provide customer support and resolve disputes
  • Improve our services and develop new features
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
  • Send important service-related communications

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal data for the time necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Active account data: retained as long as the account is active
  • Billing data: retained for 10 years in accordance with accounting obligations
  • Support data: retained for 3 years after resolution of the last case
  • Navigation data: retained for a maximum of 13 months
  • Geolocation data: retained for a maximum of 24 months

At the expiration of these periods, data is automatically deleted or anonymized, except contrary legal obligation.

6. Data sharing

ECHOPAROLE may share your personal data in the following cases:

  • With interpreters or clients as part of the connection (strictly necessary data)
  • With our service providers (hosting, payment, support) under subcontracting contract
  • With competent authorities in case of legal obligation or judicial request
  • In case of merger, acquisition or asset transfer, with prior information

All data transfers to third countries are governed by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions of the European Commission).
